Happy Bear Baking baking kits are designed to be an easy way for you to enjoy fresh baked goods at home. To ensure a yummy bake, here are some tips from our department of Recipes and Deliciousness!
Preheat Your Oven
It is vital to a successful bake that your oven is the proper temperature. We recommend preheating your oven before you start anything else, that way it will be nice and hot by the time you’re ready to put your scones in!
Measure Twice, Pour Once
We’ve worked hard to make sure the only thing you need to add to a Happy Bear Baking kit is water. Be careful when you pour in the water, you need to add to make sure your dough isn’t too wet or too dry. Remember, it should stick to itself, but not your paws.
Mix by Paw (or Hand)
The recipes in Happy Bear Baking kits are specially prepared so that you don’t need any special tools to bake them! For best results mix everything by hand in a large bowl.
Press it down
Once you’ve mixed your dough it’s time to press it out! You don’t need a rolling pin or any other kitchen gadgets just use your hands! We think 1 and a half inches is the perfect height, but you’re welcome to experiment!
Cut them up!
How many scones you’ll end up with depends on how you cut up your dough, we’ve provided enough ingredients to make about 6-8 large scones in each set of pouches.
Bake time should be around 10 minutes but this may vary based on your oven, so be sure to keep an eye on things. We recommend that you set a timer, (Siri or google assistant can take care of this!) you’ll know things are done when your treats have risen and are a nice golden brown!
